This morning, in collaboration with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, our school participated in a lockdown drill. There was NO emergency. This drill provided us with the opportunity to practice our lockdown procedures.
Again, there was no emergency situation. All students and staff are safe, and our school day has proceeded as scheduled.

Our 5th Grade Bulldogs were mixing up some science fun during their hands-on chemical reaction lab! Students put their scientific thinking skills to work as they observed changes in matter, identified evidence of chemical reactions, and explored how new substances can form.
Through making predictions, recording observations, and drawing conclusions based on evidence, our young scientists connected classroom learning to real-world science!

Football tryouts will be held on October 12th! For the 2026 football season, student-athletes from Bladenboro Middle School and Tar Heel School will combine to form the West Bladen Middle School football team.

Thank you to Mr. Joshua Pittman, Youth Minister of Galeed Baptist Church, for leading the "See You At the Pole" rally at BMS this morning! It was such a pleasure to experience two of our students welcoming everyone and leading the student prayer before Mr. Pittman led a devotion and prayer.
