Dear Bladenboro Middle School Families,

Our second semester is in full swing at Bladenboro Middle School! I want to take a moment to reflect on the strong start we’ve had and refocus on the goals that will carry us through the remainder of the school year. It continues to be an honor to serve as your principal as we build a school community that puts students first and supports them as they grow into thoughtful, capable leaders.

This semester, we remain committed to our school-wide focus on student leadership and personal accountability. We believe every child has the potential to lead, in the classroom, on the athletic field, in clubs, and most importantly, in their own learning. Students are being challenged not only to meet academic expectations, but to take ownership of their goals, choices, and progress. We will continue working intentionally to empower our students to speak up, solve problems, and hold themselves to high standards as we head toward spring testing and end-of-year milestones.

Of course, success does not happen alone. Your role as a parent or guardian remains critically important. Regular conversations at home about grades, attendance, behavior, and effort make a tremendous difference, especially at this point in the year when momentum matters most. When families follow through, check in consistently, and partner with us, students thrive. Let’s continue working together to ensure every Bulldog knows they are supported and expected to give their best every single day.

Our statewide cell phone policy continues to support our efforts to maintain focused, distraction-free classrooms. Limiting student access to cell phones during the school day has allowed students to be more engaged and present in their learning. We appreciate your continued support in reinforcing this expectation at home.

Thank you for your ongoing trust and partnership. The months ahead are critical, and I am confident that by working together-staff, students, and families- we will finish this school year strong.

Let’s make it a great second semester!

With Bulldog Pride,

Jennifer Marlowe
Principal
